What is kansas state flag?

The Kansas state flag was adopted in 1927. It features the state seal centered on a blue field with the state motto "Ad Astra Per Aspera" (to the stars through difficulties) above and "Kansas" below. The seal depicts a sunflower, the state flower, resting on a twisted blue-and-gold bar. Above the flowers is the state motto, and below is the word "Kansas". The flag's background is dark blue, trimmed with a narrow gold border. The Kansas state flag is one of the few state flags that features the state seal on a solid field of color.
